Initiatives

At MindWell, we believe in bringing mental health education to life through creative experiences. From working with children with disabilities to leading public art therapy sessions, our programs use art to foster healing, self-expression, and emotional connection. JJCT Art & Therapy Program

📍 Ahmedabad, India

🗓️ Next Visit: Summer 2026

In partnership with local therapists at JJCT (Jaswantlal Jiwanlal Charitable Trust), this initiative brings structured art sessions to children with cognitive, developmental, or physical disabilities. Activities are adapted to meet each child's sensory and emotional needs, including texture-based painting, visual storytelling, and collaborative murals. Many participants are non-verbal or partially verbal, and art becomes their bridge to communication and joy.

Library Art Therapy Events

We host free art therapy sessions at the Dublin Public Library that are open to people of all ages. These events are designed to be creative spaces where participants can explore their emotions through art in a calm environment.

Each session focuses on a mental wellness theme, like gratitude, stress relief, or self-image, and blends simple paintings with personal expression. Additionally, a representative from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will lead a short talk about mental health, self-awareness, and the importance of reaching out for support.

🗓️ Next Event: November 16th, 2:00–4:00 PM

📍 Location: Dublin Public Metropolitan Library

Cost: Free and open to all

Art Therapy for Retirement Communities

MindWell also brings guided art therapy sessions to local retirement homes and senior care centers. These sessions are designed to support older adults, especially those living with early-onset dementia or memory challenges, through creative expression.

Participants are guided through painting activities that focus on color and emotion, helping stimulate the brain while providing a joyful experience. These sessions not only support emotional well-being but also offer meaningful moments of connection and reflection.

Our team leads sessions at retirement communities including Friendship Village of Dublin and Avondale Senior Living with plans to expand to more care facilities across Central Ohio.

These sessions are not open to the public and are hosted privately within the facilities we partner with.
